People Get Ready

"Have pity on those
Whose chances grow thinner
For there's no hiding place
From the kingdom's throne..."

(R.Stewart's version)

I love this song. And although I stray from the traditional sacred music that I love the most, this music does say something worth listening to.

Tom,

I LOVE this song...but I much prefer the Eva Cassidy version, have you heard it?

Deb-

Yes, I have heard Eva Cassidy's version, and, yes, I do enjoy it very much.

It breaks my heart to hear her sing, you know. She passed away so young! What a waste.

She will be the subject of one of my posts in the very near future. I've been thinking about doing it for sometime now.

I haven't heard that song in ages! I love old music. Off to check out that Eva Cassidy link. I've never heard of her before.

I hadn't heard this in a long time either. Thanks, it was a wonderful song to listen to this morning.
Happy Sunday!

PG-

Eva's version is very nice, but I find listening to her music qite difficult (yes, she does have a beautiful voice). The timing of her death seems so trajic to me, so sad.

alyson & ford-

Thank you for stopping by! Is the baby here yet?? Seems like you've been waiting an awfully long time. Good luck to you:)

Thom-

Ditto.

It's Mr. Zimmerman's version that's the one for me.
