Personal Revelations and Apparitions

One of the most fascinating explications and clearly defined Catholic position on apparitions and personal revelation. Understanding is one of the many positive bi-products of listening to someone who knows what he is talking about. And Cardinal Francis Arinze- who stands a decent chance at becoming the next Pope - knows what he's talking about.

I love him so much. Rock solid teaching - in other words - infallible because it is the authetic teaching of the Church. Thanks for posting.

I think the world of him, Terry. He's very smart. I pray that when the time is right, he becomes our next Pontiff.

I'm so glad you posted this. I accidentally told a group of "Mary Chasers" once that I didn't get into Medjugorje, that there were too many inconsistencies, etc...

The next time she saw me in church, she noticed I was making the 33 day consecration to Our Lady, via St Louis de Monfort and she leaned down and said, "I don't think you should be doing that. Total consecration to Mary are for her chosen and I don't think you're one of them." Basically because I questioned Medjugorje.

THese people are dangerous...one year it's Scottsdale, then Conyers, then Theresa Lopez or Vassula, then Bayside...it goes on and on and on. The second they hear Mary appeared in someone's burrito, they're on the next plane to Albuquerque and if you dare say, "Hang on a minute, let's see what the mind of the Church says..." Look out--you're the enemy! Then when it's proven false, they pretend they weren't into it or they've sucked other's in, weaker in faith, who become disillusioned. I saw that myself with Theresa Lopez--I know someone who left the Church over that.

What's the danger in Medjugorje? Read comments on various blogs...Medjugorje has become THE religion for quite a few people and they don't care what the Holy See decides.

Harold-

I agree. I'm haven't been duped by the apologists of Medjugorje or by those who put Mary ahead of her Son.

""I don't think you should be doing that. Total consecration to Mary are for her chosen and I don't think you're one of them."" Really have to have gull to say something like that. Thanks for stopping by.
