Hi!

Contrary to what it might appear, I haven't forgotten about my neglected blog.  But so many things have happened in my life since my last post (which coincidentally was just over a year ago) that I had no interest in long-winded posts recounting this or that or sharing anything of interest with the public.  Short posting bursts on Facebook were satisfying enough.  But since I have enjoyed the many exchanges I've had with some of you, my blogger friends, I did not want to lose the measures of familiarity that I've built over the course of several years with you.  Therefore, I'm giving this blogger thing another try (I said that on my last post - a YEAR AGO!).

What has kept me away?  Well mostly my dad's deteriorating health (he passed away this last August), and several health scares involving my mom.  These were very emotionally draining experiences and took up a good chunk of my life.  I barely had a social life as these things were happening, but I'm NOT complaining in any way about that.  Now I'm doing my best to ensure my mom's health is good, and that her necessities are taken care of.  That's the way I good son should behave, in my humble opinion.

So what is going on with you?  Some of you (thankfully) I've kept up with on Face book and are still my Facebook friends.  But not all of you are on there.  And of some that I haven't heard from in a year, I miss reading your thoughts and opinions.  I hope we can pick up from where we left off:0)

I'm going to leave you with a pic that I posted of Toby the Terrible on Facebook.  He's gotten more evil since I last wrote about him :0)

Oh and I hope all of you had a safe and fun Halloween with your families!

Nice to see you posting again! I'm only on Facebook out of necessity, I much prefer the creativity of blogging. FB is so quick- people are quick to judge, quick to fire off a comment without thinking it through, and way to many people just cruise internet sites and post cutsey slogans without actually putting their own creative effort in to it.
Welcome back! I'm keeping your mom in my prayers.
PS- hope you consider removing word verification! It's a pain in the butt!

Shirley- FB definitely has it's drawbacks- there's no question about it. For me, going through the battles I've had to fight for the past year (and longer) drained me of enthusiasm, energy, interest, motivation, etc. I do miss blogger and the more articulate avenue of expression it offers.

I didn't always have word verification. A while back, some dolt began spamming me and I had to activate it to make him go away. My apologies for the inconvenience.
